Couple of days ago I made another trip out to the country, which still lives in the past century. I always like those conversations with Mennonite farmers. They may look like old fashion people, but let me tell you, their life wisdom is immense. Living close to nature, they don’t bother with most of todays stresses, which is probably why it makes them so friendly too.
As I am growing into a gardener, this trip was not only to shop for their meat, but also to exchange valuable information. I shared my experiences with city farming and had a chance to grab couple of pieces of advice from seasoned farmers. Good stuff.
I was also given a bag of potatoes, which was supposed to be used as feed to cows, but I asked if I could bring some home and try to get a late crop out of them.
Lets hope weather cooperates.
So when life throws a bag of potatoes at ya….
you dig up another patch for them!!!
