Sorry for a delay in posting this, but I was simply out celebrating, as you can see. 🙂
And let’s make it clear – I love my kids dearly, but there is an incomparable joy of welcoming back the school routine.
So in honour of that, my First Day of School was pretty much a complete lack of any routine. I even cut corners on dinner (thanks to Swiss Chalet for being a proud supporter) 😉 . A day that can be summarized as me, myself and my toddler, which I enjoyed immensely, filled with throwing stones into the lake, enjoying a walk in the historic Oakville, some yoga and tons (and I mean tons) of slacking.
Now let’s talk dirty, shall we?
Yes, the dreaded obligation that spoils almost all the fun of sending your kid away to school for a day and disguising it as education! 😉
I was hoping somehow that finding some inspiration would be as easy as typing into google “Healthy Lunch Ideas for Kids”. Yeah, don’t try that if you:
a) are aware of nut free policy in schools or
b) you know what is in the mainstream products, so happily put into our kids’ lunch boxes
c) or if you do not know that Google is a web browser.
Sorry, no such thing as a shortcut here. Darn it!
Well, in all the fairness, there is a plethora of websites popping up, some of which trying really hard to provide healthy tips for what to pack into your child’s lunchbox, but finding a really healthy and fun idea turned out to be a challenge.
Therefore I am on a mission to look for some recipes to make lunch times happy for anybody involved!
If you have some tips or recipes, please share as well.
