And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.
Another Thanksgiving weekend is here, which also means I am another step closer to celebrating my full fourth decade on this beautiful planet.
I have to say, it has been an amazing ride and I am deeply thankful for each and every twist and turn of this story called Kasia. Sure, there were definitely moments when I was ready to throw in the towel but as it usually happens, moments of pure joy and amazement followed those gloomy days rather promptly.
Like waking up on October 6th, 2016 thinking:
"OMG! Did I just have dinner with Jamie Oliver!?"
Still buzzing from the all the commotion of the night before, it was one of those mornings when you simply feel... accomplished. The euphoric sensation of reaching a goal and making a dream come true was rocking every cell of my body. After all, I have been admiring Jamie's charity work for years and I was just honoured with a title of one of his Food Revolution Ambassadors!
Meeting him in person and seeing how committed he is to make changes in our food systems and culture was very inspirational. Plus connecting with so many wonderful fellow Ambassadors gave me a sense of belonging to a community as passionate about food education as I am. I felt empowered and ready to take on the world! 🙂
Yes, that morning of October 6th felt REALLY good...
Returning to that memory today was just as exciting. But then looking back at a full year between those two moments in time, I realized how it was only a beginning of a chapter in my life's story that turned out to be even more exciting.
Over the last 12 months I released over 50 lbs of unnecessary weight, I earned a diploma in nutrition and assisted my clients in their health transformations, I managed a hockey team and organized fundraisers for them, I had lineups for my workshops where I was able to share my passion and knowledge, I established amazing connections in the community, I volunteered for great causes and I got to work with incredible individuals.
I am definitely grateful for all the opportunities that appeared in my life over those months and all the people who supported me along the way.
But waking up today, I am even more thankful for sharing my gifts and talents and inspiring people around me to make better choices for their own wellbeing. I know I am making a difference in their lives while shaping my own in a way I want it to be remembered. And that's why...
I am giving thanks for being able to live my dream.
I am here to confirm that if you are living your passion, it pulls you to a greater good, to do better things, to have more impact. And enjoy the ride as you do so!
Standing on the edge of my next year, I am ready for my next adventures.
Wishing you a very happy Thanksgiving, I also wish you to wake up every single day feeling like you are living your dream too!
